This may include English–Spanish interpretation during consultations, caregiver coaching sessions, and meetings with schools or other service providers, as well as translation of key documents such as summaries, recommendations, and family-facing materials when appropriate. We work with caregivers to understand why behaviors happen, identify practical goals that matter at home, and build consistent responses that support skill growth and reduce stress. Coaching may include modeling and practice during daily routines (mealtimes, transitions, homework, bedtime), step-by-step behavior strategies, communication supports, and simple data or tracking tools that are realistic to maintain. We also focus on generalization—helping skills carry over across people and settings—while keeping plans culturally responsive, respectful, and sustainable for the whole family.

Evergreen Horizons LLC provides school consultation and support to help align strategies between home and school and improve consistency for the student. We collaborate with caregivers and educators to clarify concerns, identify functional patterns, and recommend practical supports that can be implemented in real classroom routines. Consultation may include reviewing existing behavior plans and IEP goals, supporting teacher-friendly accommodations, strengthening data collection methods, and coaching staff on proactive strategies (antecedent supports, reinforcement systems, visual supports, and de-escalation plans). When appropriate and permitted, we can attend meetings, help coordinate communication across team members, and ensure recommendations are clear, measurable, and realistic—so the student experiences predictable support across environments.

A Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) is a structured process Evergreen Horizons LLC uses to understand why a behavior is occurring and what variables are maintaining it, so intervention is targeted and effective. An FBA may include caregiver and teacher interviews, review of records, direct observation across routines and settings, and data collection (frequency, duration, antecedent–behavior–consequence patterns). From that information, we develop a clear hypothesis about the behavior’s function (e.g., access to attention or items, escape/avoidance, sensory/automatic reinforcement) and identify triggers and skill deficits that need to be addressed.
